New Swiss choir book with "Il grond silenzi"

Swiss up your choir! The choir book Swiss Choral Music is a colourful treasure trove for exploring more recent choral music in Switzerland. As diverse as the country itself, the collection not only includes different musical styles, but also all the national languages (Romansh, French, Swiss-German, Italian) as well as English and Latin. The editors are the renowned choral conductors Johannes Meister and Patrick Secchiari.

The new choir book also includes the song "Il grond silenzi". All the works were sung by the Swiss Youth Choir under the direction of Nicolas Fink.

"Il grond silenzi" on CD

The piece "Il grond silenzi" can be heard on the new recording by the 3BA Concert Band (DE). Corsin Tuor has arranged the song for brass band.

It is often said that mountains and valleys have something constricting about them. However, anyone who has ever scaled a mountain peak knows that it is the other way round. Time seems to stand still, the focus on creation allows you to marvel and calm down. However, mountains also allow you to let your gaze wander into the distance, they allow you to breathe freely - and they provide support and protection. The composition "Il grond silenzi" (The great silence) aims to make all these feelings perceptible and audible.

New national park anthem

On the occasion of the opening of the newly staged National Park Centre in Zernez, the new anthem of the Swiss National Park was premiered. The "Cor Viril dal Parc Naziunal" sang the new national park anthem "Noss üert alpin". The lyrics were written by the Engadine author Romana Ganzoni.
